We had a lovely time in Beech Lodge and will definitely come back. It was peaceful, tucked among farmland and woodland, and made a great base for walks and nearby beaches. The other lodge guests were friendly too. We stayed for three nights at the end of May with our dog, Luther, and the owners, Sharon & John, were welcoming and helpful throughout, keeping a social distance and staying available if we needed anything. Luther would give them five stars for the bowls, treats and fleece blanket waiting for him. The lodge was spacious and comfortable, with lovely furnishings and a great outdoor hot tub. It felt like home. We asked for no feather pillows or duvets, a fan and a stand for a disposable BBQ, and they provided all three. There were plenty of cleaning supplies in line with covid guidance, plus everything we needed: a small fridge, washing machine, microwave, cooker, toaster, dishes, cutlery, towels, bathrobes, iron and hairdryer. The appliances all worked well, and clear instructions were provided. We ate in each night on the porch, which was a nice spot. They had menus for local takeaways and restaurants, though some places only opened at weekends, and we were there midweek. There’s free wifi and a smart TV, so we logged into Netflix. Just remember to sign out before leaving. Elie beach, Leven beach and Falkland Estate were all close by for driving out with the dog.

This was the best place we stayed during our trip to Scotland, and I can’t wait to return. The room was cosy and elegant, with an incredible shower in the bathroom. They’ve thought of all the little details, even providing conditioner that you don’t get at some good hotels. Breakfast was delicious.

Kirsty was such a welcoming and helpful hostess, and I’ve already booked another visit because I can’t wait to come back. For my birthday, there was a chilled bottle of prosecco and a card waiting for me, which made the stay extra special. The accommodation was spotless, with big comfortable beds, and it was lovely having the place to ourselves. At night, we could watch the stars from the blissful hot tub, then put on the fluffy dressing gowns. The lounge had comfy settees, blankets, books and games, plus a big TV with Netflix. Breakfast was delicious, with local ingredients, homemade sauces and jams. The hog roast sausages were so tasty! I also loved the veranda and its calming water feature. Oscar the Cocker was made very welcome, and there are lovely walks nearby with great scenery. It’s a real hidden gem. xx

Kirsty made us feel very welcome. We had a clean, bright room with its own patio and a hot tub, and the cooked breakfast was fabulous. A really lovely bed and breakfast.

The breakfast was fantastic, with lots of choice. The rooms were bright and clean, and Kirsty made us feel so welcome, always happy to help. A lovely place to relax, and we’d definitely go back.
