The Old School

The drive into Dalavich is breathtaking, and the little village felt so warm and friendly. There’s a shop, post office and cafe open every day, with good food, essentials and handmade gifts. We even sent postcards from there. The Loch, Loch Awe, is just a couple of minutes away on foot, and we spent a sunny day picnicking by the water. Our apartment was spacious, spotless and had everything we needed. The garden was great for the dogs to run around while we relaxed outside, listening to birds and watching the sunsets. There’s parking right at the apartments and access is easy. Sam welcomed us, showed us where everything was and had left milk for a cup of tea after our long drive. Pete and Carol were lovely too, and gave us helpful suggestions for places to eat and visit. They were the best hosts we’ve met. We’re hoping to return around the same time next year with our first child, and Carol said they can provide a high chair and cot. Thanks for such a wonderful stay ❤️
