We only stayed one night, and really enjoyed it. The room had two twin beds, both wonderfully soft, and we slept so well. It was completely quiet and dark, just perfect. Ewan was really entertaining, and we wished we could have stayed longer. We hope to come back and would definitely recommend it.

I stayed here for one night with my husband and our newborn, and absolutely loved it. It felt personal, spacious, quiet and truly enchanting, unlike the sort of hotel stay I’d had before. I’d highly recommend it if you’re after somewhere cozy and unique.

The friendly, welcoming gentleman who checked us in left a great impression. A lady greeted us when we arrived, too. Our room was very comfortable and felt like home, while the place itself has traditional charm and the character of an old manor house. Eskbank Hotel has much more personality than a typical chain. It’s only a short drive to Portobello Beach, which was ideal for a seaside walk. We had a comfortable stay in a lovely setting and would happily return.

We really liked the neighbourhood, and getting to Edinburgh by bus was easy. The room was comfortable, the hosts were great, and we had a lovely stay.
