The views were spectacular, and it was lovely watching the weather change. This cottage is so peaceful and relaxing, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. We watched all kinds of birds come to the bird table: woodpeckers, jays, robins, blackbirds, dunnocks, coal tits, and chaffinches. We could hear owls hooting at night. The only one we didn’t see was the pine marten, as it was perhaps a little too early for that. Highly recommended.

The owners knew the area well and couldn’t have done more to improve our stay, with advice on places to visit and eat. The property is well equipped, and the views are stunning. From here you can get to great walks and Loch Awe for fishing. Bring groceries with you, or drive to Oben. A full trolley at CO OP, 12 miles away, will cost £200 plus for a week.
