The beds were really comfortable, the cottage was very clean, and we slept well. The kitchen had everything we needed. Dale house cottage is spacious and well equipped, in a beautiful place with stunning surroundings. That said, it needs some maintenance soon. We had two leaks during an exceptionally stormy, windy few days: one from the log burner flue, which soaked the logs, and another from a beam that ran down onto the sofa. The bathroom/shower room towel rail was broken and hadn’t been replaced, and a hinge on the inside wardrobe door was broken too. It’d be a shame to see this gem become neglected, and the maintenance issues are why I’ve taken off a star.

The location is beautiful, and the accommodation was great. It was clean and had all the facilities we needed.
