Plume Of Feathers

We always end up ordering too much because we want to try everything! I met a friend at the Plume for another joyous lunch, and I love the variety you get with small plates. Everything we've tried has been so good, even when we can't pronounce a dish and have to ask what it is. Our waitress, whose name I think was Theresa, was lovely, chatty, friendly and knew her stuff. She made us feel very welcome. I highly recommend a visit to this hostelry and its Italian taps menu. Yum!

The food and wine are generally very good, served as small plates for sharing, so don't expect a full plate each. I'd suggest spacing out your order. Dishes come out as they're ready, which meant our nuts and olives turned up halfway through the meal, while the potatoes we'd wanted alongside another course arrived after we'd finished everything else.

We had a fantastic staff Christmas party at Plum and Feather in Sherborne. The evening was well organised, with excellent food and a welcoming, festive atmosphere. Friendly, attentive staff made sure we felt looked after throughout. Everyone had a great time, and it was a perfect place for our Christmas celebration. Highly recommended for group events and special occasions.

We all really enjoyed the dishes we chose, and they helpfully offered us a doggie box. It was a lovely spot for lunch with friends, with great service and plenty of choice on the menu. Just be warned, the small plates are very generous!
