The roast was delicious, with generous servings, crispy potatoes and good-quality meat. There were seven of us and we turned up for Sunday lunch without a reservation, but they warmly welcomed us and found space at the last minute. The service was really friendly. It’s lovely to see the pub lively again with decent food on offer. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ve been recommending it and will keep doing so.

There was a good range of beer and ale, and the food was reasonably priced and good. The staff and locals were friendly too. I was visiting family nearby and would definitely go again.
