We only came for Sunday lunch, not an overnight stay. My husband enjoyed his meal as much as I did, and his chocolate dessert brought the biggest smile to his face. The menu felt generous but carefully chosen, with each dish offering something special. I started with cooked salmon pâté, silky smooth and delicious, like a whisper of the sea. My chicken main was tender and full of flavour. For pudding I had the Mimosa, the most delightful thing I'd ever eaten, delicate, balanced and truly memorable. A meal to remember.

I had dinner here on my first evening and really enjoyed the lamb steak with dauphinoise potatoes. There was a wide menu to choose from. During my April 2026 stay, the room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The double glazing kept the traffic noise out well. The shower could have had more pressure, although there was plenty of hot water. A handy tea station in the corridor also had an iron and ironing board. A very comfortable stay, thanks.

We only wish we lived nearby so we could come more often. The dining room has an intimate, almost-at-a-friend’s-house feel, and the prices are very reasonable. Tracey gave us a warm welcome and talked us through the extensive menu. Everything was cooked to order and arrived piping hot. We had a wonderful meal this weekend.
