Sandie is a lovely host and knows so much about the building. It goes back to the 1500s, when it was four little two-room cottages facing a narrow passage off the high street. The downstairs rooms from two cottages became the living room, and the other two were joined to make the dining room. The B&B is furnished to a very high standard. Sandie puts real care into breakfast too, with five homemade jams, fresh-squeezed orange juice and everything cooked just right. It's a fascinating place, hard to sum up in a few words.

Breakfast was delicious, with a lot of care put into both the food and how it was served, from the fresh-squeezed juice to the homemade chutneys. We were warmly welcomed, and all the facilities were just right. The B&B is unusual and nicely presented, and the location suited us perfectly. Sandie was helpful, flexible and informative when we booked. We had a great experience from beginning to end and would definitely come back if we're in the area again. Dan and Nic
