The cottage is easy to find, with plenty of parking, and Braunston has a well-stocked shop, a small post office, a couple of good pubs, and pleasant canal walks. We especially enjoyed the Sunday lunch at the Plough, just a few minutes away on foot. Inside, the two bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, and the lounge has big sofas, an electric fire, and an HD TV connected to the main streaming services. The modern kitchen is very well equipped, with a few welcome treats too. Gerry & Fiona have made a lovely, cosy place in a quiet village. They’re friendly and available when needed while still giving you space to relax. We’d happily come back.

There’s plenty to do nearby, and the locals were friendly too. The cottage was spotless, with lovely fluffy towels and comfortable beds. We arrived to a much-appreciated welcome pack, and the hosts had kept in touch well and greeted us warmly. It’s a beautiful place to stay, and we’d gladly recommend it.

The village is a great base, with pubs, the canal, and lots of places to visit nearby. We found everything we needed easily, and the cottage had very good facilities. Gerry and Fiona were friendly and keen to hear how they could make the guest experience even better. We could happily have stayed another week and would definitely look at booking again.

The kitchen was especially well supplied with decent gear, including knives that were sharper than you usually find in a rental. The cottage itself was cosy and comfortable, and the friendly hosts were happy to help. We had everything we needed and a really lovely stay.

We spent five nights here with my parents after my son’s wedding. The cottage has lots of character, comfortable beds, and heating that kept it warm and cosy. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch, and Gerry made us feel very welcome. Gerry & Fiona have also put together helpful books covering the cottage, local area, and things to do. We loved walking along the canal and meeting the boaters and their dogs. The area is beautiful and the people are friendly. We ate at The Plough and the Admiral Nelson, and the food was excellent at both. We also visited Bletchley Park and Stonehenge, and would recommend both. We really hope to return.
