The Clock Tower

The breakfast was delicious and served beautifully in a lovely setting. The spacious room felt homely, and the views across the garden towards the church and countryside were amazing. Lizzie checked I was comfortable with dogs before letting them greet me, which was thoughtful, and she, David, and their two dogs made me feel completely welcome. The Clock Tower is wonderfully quiet, with no traffic. There are two pubs within walking distance, and I had dinner at Hellidon after a 25-minute walk along a traffic-free country lane. It was a fantastic one-night business stay, probably the nicest place I've stayed for work. So peaceful and relaxing after a work trip. A huge thank you to my hosts, and I hope to return soon.

We had plenty of room for the wedding party to get ready together. I stayed at The Clock Tower the night before my nearby wedding with my bridesmaids in June 2024, then returned the following night with my new husband. The gardens are beautiful, and the views from both the front and back are to die for. Our spacious bedrooms were spotless, with large ensuite bathrooms stocked with everything we could need and more. Breakfast was plentiful, delicious, and made with locally sourced produce. It's such a calm, happy place to unwind, and we can't wait to find an excuse to return. Lizzie and Dave were incredibly welcoming, polite, and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Their communication was spot on. Their two beautiful dogs were an absolute delight, too.
