The village setting is lovely and picturesque, and the pub feels well run, with attentive staff. We were greeted warmly when we arrived with friends, and the place had a good atmosphere straight away. The rooms were excellent, and we enjoyed superb food alongside a good choice of beers and wines. We had a great overnight stay and will definitely return. Thanks, Derek and Mary.

The Sunday roast was the highlight, with perfectly cooked meat, an amazing choice of vegetables and a board of sides to share. We started with whitebait to share, which was perfect. The staff were friendly, informative and fantastic, and the chef clearly knows what he’s doing. A great spot for a family meal, and I’d highly recommend it.

We had a delicious meal, and it came out quickly. There were fabulous gluten-free options, and the cheesecake was light and fluffy with a perfect base. The pub was very welcoming and the service was great. We didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t rate the rooms, though from the general impression I’d expect them to be clean and nicely appointed. I’d happily recommend it.

The dining room is good, there’s plenty of parking, and the facilities are clean. The food portions are generous, the ice cream is excellent with chocolate chunks, and there’s a wide drinks selection. It’s been a great pub every time I’ve visited. Thoroughly recommend it!

A charming country pub with plenty of parking, and the food was tasty and satisfying, just what I was hoping for. The welcome and service were attentive and warm. I visited earlier this year and had a great time. I’d gladly come back.
