We’re vegan and loved eating here. The chef came out to ask what we thought of the vegan options, which was amazing. I could tell he really cared about offering more choices for people who can’t eat meat or dairy. The vegan spice bag was incredible, with a perfect portion, and I’d order it again without hesitation. It’s a lovely little spot in town. Thanks to the kind staff and the chef for taking the time to talk with us. We really appreciate it.

I came in today for a wake, though I hadn’t been here for a couple of years. I’m a volunteer barman at the Royal British Legion social club in Market St, and my local, the Farrier, is about a good twenty minutes away. The new management have clearly got the right staff. They’re very young, but their greeting and service had an old school feel. I have no complaints. Thanks to all the staff. I’ll be back.

31/12/24.... The pizza, hot wings and burgers are delicious. It may not be the nicest pub in deal, but I like it here. On my last visit, quite a lot of the menu was missing. The menu has changed a little since then and some of my favourites are gone, but it’s still good value. No more buckets of wings! I first tried the pub at lunchtime over the jubilee bank holiday, after visiting the area from London regularly, and was pleasantly surprised. Food and drinks were great value, especially the cocktails. The front seating area gets lovely sun, and the staff are friendly and polite. I can’t speak to the evening crowd, but lunchtime was relaxed and pleasant. Definitely recommend the wings and cocktails.

Queen Street Tap was a great place to stay after a weekend working in Deal. The upstairs room was clean and comfortable, with the basics covered, tea, coffee, TV, a shower and even earplugs. They warn you that party nights can get noisy, so the earplugs came in handy. Downstairs, the bar had a lively feel, loads of friendly staff and regulars, and the food was top notch. That burger was one of the best I've ever had. If work brings me back to Deal, I'd stay here again.

The room was clean, though a bit small, but it was ice cold all night because the heating was off or hadn't been turned on. There's no way to get help after 11pm, so make sure any problems are sorted before then. I booked through booking.com for one night with breakfast included, but was told on arrival that breakfast wasn't part of the booking, which was hugely disappointing. They eventually gave it to me free, and it was okay.
