The Poldark Inn

We had a lovely time at Poldark Inn, with sheep in the next field adding to the peaceful feel. It’s away from the city bustle, and Tintagel Castle, the ruins of King Arthur’s castle, is very close by. Adrian and his family were amazing and looked after us so well. The pub downstairs was nice, and every meal I tried was great, especially the super yummy Steak and Ale pie. Breakfast is included, and you can have a full English. Our room was clean and serviceable, with a bed that was great to sleep in. The shower was a bit wonky and there was no refrigerator in the room, but neither was enough to put us off. The place has an old-fashioned English charm, and the prices were really good for the pub, dinner and room. I’d definitely go back.

The staff were very nice, but the hotel felt very tired and the full English breakfast was very poor. None of the items seemed to be good quality. We’re sorry, but after staying two nights, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The coastal and countryside views are beautiful, and the people here were very welcoming. Our room was fresh smelling and clean, with a comfortable bed, a power shower and plenty of tea and coffee. The cooked breakfast was the best I’ve had at a B&B in a long time. It was our first stay at Poldark Inn, but we’d love to return. Dog friendly, too. Thank you!

Breakfast was delicious, with hot, cold and vegetarian choices, and there was free WiFi and plenty of parking. I booked a standard double and found both the room and bathroom spacious. The staff were friendly and professional, and the location was great. Highly recommended!
