B&B Hotel Derby Hotel

Olympia at reception and Hajer at the bar made the visit feel welcoming from the start. They were warm, attentive, and professional, and that really stood out. I was there from 27-28 December. The hotel is lovely, with clean, comfortable rooms, and it's close to the train station with plenty of excellent five-star restaurants nearby. I'd happily return and recommend it to family and friends.

Everything about my stay went smoothly, from the helpful reception staff at check-in and check-out to the lovely place itself. My room was bright, airy, spotless, and had all the facilities I needed. I had a brilliant time and would highly recommend it. I already know I'll be back.

We only stayed one night for our anniversary, but it was first class and we're thinking of booking again for the same time next year. The place worked well for us because we needed easy access due to my wife's limited mobility. A simpler door access system would help, as there are too many numbers to enter. The bar prices were also unaffordable, around three times what a local restaurant charges. Still, we couldn't fault the stay.

The rooms were warm, comfortable, and well equipped, with a very good monsoon shower. Breakfast and dinner were good too, and drinks were reasonably priced, though there wasn't a huge selection. I was there for four business nights in November '25. Check-in was a poor start: I arrived a little early and was bluntly told it didn't open until 1500. When the room was ready, I was told, “I'll chuck the key over to you.” No offer to wait in the bar with a drink. WiFi and 5G were almost unusable much of the time, so working in the room was difficult, and the streaming TV kept dropping out.
