Delta Hotels by Marriott Breadsall Priory Country Club

The pool area is the highlight, grand, with a wonderful jacuzzi, steam room and sauna, plus plenty of places to relax. There’s also a lovely restaurant and bar in the hotel part of the building. The gym is small and friendly, but has all the equipment you need, from free weights to cardio and strength machines. The studio is compact too, with a good choice of classes.

We’d had great visits in the past, so came to Breadsall Priory Leisure Club with a member friend for a relaxing evening. The receptionist, Kerry Lambert, spoiled the visit. When we asked for a day pass, she was rude and sarcastic, mocked us for using the “wrong terminology,” and even threatened to charge full price. I work in customer service and was shocked by her attitude. It was completely unacceptable for a place like this, and really disappointing. It’s made us reconsider coming back.

The changing area could probably do with a refresh, but it’s a minor issue. I haven’t stayed at the hotel, so can’t comment on that, though it’s heavily focused on golf. The setting is beautiful and well maintained, and the leisure staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. The facilities suit me: a gym with cardio and weight rooms, free weights, and a studio with classes at different times. The pool area has a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

I joined the Leisure Club on a friend’s recommendation and really enjoyed my first visit as a member. The place has a relaxed atmosphere and is a peaceful way to unwind and take the stress out of life. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the sauna, steam room, swimming pool and jacuzzi are all first rate. Highly recommended.
