I've been here a few times to see The Smyths, and it's one of the best small venues I've visited. The gig room is just the right size, with a low ceiling that gives it a great atmosphere and sound. Getting served is easy, both in the venue and in the main pub. Love this place!

We went to the flower pot in December to see Stripe, an REM tribute band, and were pleasantly surprised. The pub was packed, with a great atmosphere, and the beer was reasonably priced. Service was very good, and the multi-storey car park next door was handy. Highly recommend it.

A great pub with good beer and friendly staff. They have the usual traditional pub snacks, like pork pies, plus Nepalese curry on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. You can order the curry to take away too. I was in town for work and staying at the Leonardo Hotel, so this little gem just across the road was convenient. It's also a short walk from the town centre.

Nice, middle-aged pub and great service at the bar. We arrived late and wanted to catch the band's last 30 minutes, but were told it would cost £18. That seemed like a joke, and nobody else went in after us. Surely it'd be better to let a couple of people in to buy a few pints and enjoy the music.

One of the best pubs in Derby, with a great beer garden and an excellent range of beers. They also regularly have live music.
