Travelodge Derby Cricket Ground

I'm on day 2 of a 7 night stay, so this is about the staff and service so far. We're comfortable, and the location helps make up for the lack of a mini fridge in the room. Jasmine cooked our dinner last night and did a lovely job. My daughter loved her pizza, especially the crisp base. The cheeseburger was juicy, the chicken burger had a nice crunch, and Jasmine got the chips perfectly crispy too. She doesn't usually work in the kitchen, so I was especially impressed.

I stayed for a business event at the cricket club, which is only a few minutes' walk away. The room was spacious, with a nice view of the cricket grounds and a comfortable bed that gave me a great night's sleep. Breakfast and dinner were both nice and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and professional. The bathroom could have been cleaner, mainly around the corners, but for the price I can't complain.

The first room I was given hadn't been cleaned or prepared, but reception had no problem assigning me another. The replacement was spotless and comfortable. There's a free car park, and the location is accessible, with an Indian restaurant downstairs. Breakfast was good and available early. The rooms are basic, WiFi costs extra, and the food menu is limited, though Nandos is about a mile away.

I've stayed here several times and absolutely love the place. The new manager was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Amy, who's been there for years, has always gone above and beyond and has gladly done anything we've asked.
