Forge House Yaxham Bed & Breakfast

The old building is in a quiet location, and we had a great bed and a lovely breakfast with plenty of choice, cooked by Daniel. Daniel and Amy made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The B&B was immaculately clean, and the ensuite was a good size with a large shower. There was a nice tea tray with ground coffee and a mix of teas, plus fresh milk in a silent fridge. The best B&B we’ve stayed in anywhere. Thanks to you both for a lovely stay. We hope to see you again.

Breakfast was great, and the rooms were finished to a very high standard and impeccably clean. Daniel was a great host, with excellent communication. The facilities were great too, and I couldn’t find a fault. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Norfolk.

Breakfast was delicious, with all the choice you could want, and the pretty sunroom’s comfortable seats made it even nicer. The resident moggie even got some sausage. There’s a lovely courtyard with outdoor seating that must be beautiful in summer. The property is down a quiet road beside Yaxham Holt, a great spot if you love heritage railway. Our friendly host welcomed us, sorted out a small booking hiccup without any fuss, showed us around, then left us to settle in. He doesn’t hover, which was appreciated. The cabin-style rooms have lovely decor, a huge comfy bed, and a powerful shower. Everything is finished to a brilliant standard, and the place earns its four stars. The room has loads of useful things: a fridge, hairdryer, fan, extension lead, torch, umbrella, toiletries, plenty of storage, and a large TV with built-in Netflix. There was also water, tea, and fresh coffee. You can tell a lot of care went into the furnishings and decor; it makes the stay feel luxurious for a B&B. We really enjoyed it and would stay again when we’re nearby.

Daniel was our main contact and cooked a super meal on our first night. The B&B is very welcoming, right by the heritage railway line. We were there on a steaming weekend, so an A4 was passing at breakfast! There’s a licensed bar where we enjoyed a bottle or two of local Norfolk wine. Breakfast was high quality too, with a choice worthy of a quality hotel. Our room was comfortable, the shower over the bath worked well, and there was fresh milk in the mini fridge. There’s also a guest lounge with windows on two sides. We had a very enjoyable stay and will recommend The Forge to friends and family visiting this part of Norfolk.
