Marlene is a brilliant hostess, and the fishery itself is outstanding, with clean, crystal-clear water. The trees seemed to catch more flies than the fish did, lol. My only reason for giving four stars is the hill down to the lake. After a full day fishing, climbing back up would kill you! Access for disabled people isn't great, but I'm sure a fisherman could manage that small obstacle.
I've never had so much fun in just a couple of hours. The lake is fantastic, and the dry fly fishing is superb. The fish rise like sharks leaping out of the water, and when you hook one, you feel the fight. They're the strongest fighting fish I've ever caught. Highly recommend it. I'll be back.
Such a scenic countryside spot, with a great fishery and trout that are good quality and put up a proper fight. Marlene is hands-on with her customers, gets to know you, and cheers you on for the next catch. Great host, place, and fishing all round.
Had a great day's fishing. Caught and released 10, weighing between 2 lb and 5 lb.
The lake itself is really good, but the trees around it make casting a fly very difficult.
