We were in room 2. The bathroom had rubbish in the bin, dirty towels in the shower, and hair in the sink and toilet. There was only one towel for two people, and pubic hair on the bed sheets, so we slept on top of the duvet. I messaged the owners using the tablet, but nobody replied. The bedroom door wouldn’t lock, and once it finally did, we couldn’t open it again.
There’s a garden room with a self-catering kitchen, and free parking on site. It’s quiet, and the rooms are clean and en suite, with TVs and tea and coffee facilities. Check-in and check-out are remote. The beds are comfortable, and we’ve stayed twice already. We’d definitely come again.
It’s out in the sticks, and I couldn’t change the position of the blinds. The check-in tablet didn’t work or charge, which made it hard to communicate. There were stains on the pillows and some mysterious muck in the kettle. Nobody was there to greet us because it’s self check-in. We left before we’d even spent an hour in the room.
There was mildew all over the room and bathroom. It’s called a bed and breakfast, but breakfast isn’t included. The door code was difficult to use, the brewpot still had used tea bags in it, and with no staff on site it was hard to get in touch.
The garden room had a lovely view and was a good size. Check-in and check-out were automated. The front door wouldn’t lock, and showering left the bathroom floor very wet.
