Number 8 The Townhouse

The room matched the description: basic, nicely decorated, clean, and with a comfortable bed. Fresh sheets and towels were provided, along with shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the en-suite bathroom. There was also tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast in the basement was mostly self-serve, with cereal, toast and jam, yogurt, tea, coffee, and orange juice. The owner was welcoming and pleasant. We only stayed one night, but the location was a real find for exploring Derry/Londonderry. It was good value and just right for anyone who doesn’t need to pay for a 4/5-star hotel. The place has a few signs of age, and the windows aren’t there for a view, but it’s quaint. We couldn’t fault it, and we’ll return and recommend it. Five stars because it met what the description promised. It does what it says on the tin. 😃

We were able to leave our bags there between checkout and our bus home, which was handy. I slept through breakfast, though the room where it’s served looked lovely. The accommodation was very clean, the beds were especially comfortable, and the bath products were nice. We picked it for the location and price and were really pleased.

We stopped by this morning hoping to book three rooms for October and asked for a quick look around. The man who answered the door just said, “No,” abruptly, then shut it. I don’t usually complain, but that’s no way to present ourselves.

The bed was comfortable, and the room had tea and coffee, a TV, and a bathroom with a shower and bath. It’s a small but quaint room, right inside the city walls, which is a perfect location. In the morning there was cereal, bread and toast, jams, honey, tea, and coffee for breakfast. The owner was sound.
