The food is all homemade, really lovely, and bloody good value for what you get. It beats getting a takeaway. The service is kind and caring too, and they’ll get you whatever you need. I’d strongly recommend coming here.

Amazing food, good quality and a fair price. Everyone was so nice and caring, and the service was great. I recommend coming here.

The roast pork with crackling is well worth trying, and the carvery was delicious. It’s a bit out of the way, but the drive was worth it. The staff were friendly and attentive. I didn’t stay, so can’t comment on the rooms. Only disappointment was that there was no real ale on tap.

They reopened the kitchen when we arrived so we could get something to eat, and the food was excellent on both nights. Camden Hells on tap was a nice bonus. We had a pleasant stay, with friendly staff and a good sized room. It was very good value for money, and I’d stay here again.

We’d booked a table online two months ahead for a family special occasion, but when we arrived the place was closed for refurbishment. We’d picked somewhere fairly central, even though it meant an hour and a half extra travel for one group. Since it was Sunday mid-afternoon, finding another nearby place that could take us was difficult. What should have been a nice occasion became disappointing and stressful. The website didn’t mention the refurbishment at all, and the booking system was still live.
