We went for bottomless brunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, and Issy looked after us brilliantly. The food was great and the prices were very reasonable. I’d happily come back, and I can’t recommend the place enough.

When we arrived, the room was really cold. The Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect and there wasn’t any hot water either. We stayed last night, but wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The rooms were nice, but over two nights we had neither heating nor hot water. We were told it would be sorted, but it never was. Communication was poor, and we weren’t compensated for the bad experience. Avoid!

We left feeling frustrated. When we went to pay, they tried to charge us for something we hadn’t even had. Earlier, one person in our group asked about cake ingredients because of a nut allergy, but staff didn’t know what was in it, and the woman who made it wasn’t working. We also asked for chips with a drink and were told the chef might not want to make them. The server said I’d understand if I knew hospitality and catering. I’ve worked in the trade for 24 years and rarely come across such a poor attitude. It might be a good spot to get drunk on a Friday, but not much else.

The room wouldn’t have fitted 70 people comfortably, so thankfully only about 50 came to my daughter’s 30th party. I booked it after speaking with kenzie several times. I was told it held up to 60 for £120, with another section available for £25 to fit 70. The chip butties came out right as we arrived at 7.50, even though we’d agreed on 9pm. The chef apparently couldn’t be bothered to stay. By the time anyone wanted the chips, they were cold and went to waste, and they were very overpriced. Going through the pub to the toilets, it was full of drugs. Think twice before booking. There are much nicer places for similar money. Never again.
