The food is what turned a five-star visit into a ten out of ten for me. The menu had a nice variety, and my pork chop was magnificent. My wife had the pan-fried chicken supreme and said it was one of the best chicken dishes she'd ever tasted. The staff were attentive and great, and our waitress was excellent, joking about the grumpy chef. It's a quintessential country village pub, old and quirky, with lots of wood, a great beer selection and a really friendly welcome. I've been to plenty of pubs in my 68 years, and this is definitely one of the best. If only I lived closer, it'd be my regular. I'll certainly be back. 10/10.

We stopped in on the way home after a long drive. My wife had the gnocchi and I went for the rib eye, cooked just right medium rare. Both dishes arrived quickly, hot and tasty, with generous portions for a good price. Would happily recommend it. 👌

The crackling fireplace and smell of wood smoke made this such a cosy place to sit and unwind. I was staying at a nearby B&B and exploring the area when I dropped into The Bell Inn Pub 🔔. The staff welcomed me right away and made me feel at home. I had a burger and chips, both delicious, and the atmosphere was relaxed. A lovely pub if you're around here.

The pâté starter was the standout, really smooth and delicious. Our large group was upstairs, and the staff were friendly and helpful despite all the carrying up and down. The venue's nice too. The rest of the food was fine, though not amazing, and I still wonder whether anyone can make crispy roast potatoes in large quantities. Also not keen on the fashion of piling everything into a pyramid on the plate.

That chicken and leek pie of the day was a great choice, possibly the best pie I've ever had, with lovely pastry and plenty of filling. We came for lunch at this pub in a lovely spot. The staff were friendly and chatty, and there was a good range of dishes on the menu. Drinks choice wasn't brilliant, but there was enough for everyone to find something they liked. I'd come back if I'm nearby.
