The food was amazing, and the menu had so many options that I genuinely struggled to choose. We found the Riyal Ship on Google and thought we'd give it a go. We booked a table just in case, though there was plenty of room for walk-ins when we arrived. It's a lovely-looking hotel in town, with good service and lots of space for kids and dogs. The three of us had a beautiful bite to eat, and we'd very much like to come back.

The menu has plenty of delicious choices and good value, and the staff are attentive and genuinely welcoming to dogs. There are beautiful walks right nearby for all abilities, and the beaches are only about 20 minutes away. We came back to the Royal Ship, Dolgellau after a great visit in November, this time for a cosy winter beach break with our dog between Christmas and New Year. It even snowed, which made the weekend feel extra magical. It's our second stay, and every bit as lovely as the first. We've already booked for Valentine's weekend.

This was our fourth stay, and we love it. It was the first time we brought our little girl. The room was clean, tidy, cosy and spacious enough that she could play in it without it feeling cramped. She was fussy about her food, but the staff remade it and didn't charge us, even though that was more our fault than anything the hotel did. The staff are always amazing and lovely, and the food and breakfast are brilliant every time. Our daughter loved breakfast, and we can't wait to come again. Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

The service was excellent and the food was extremely tasty and great value. We visited on a cold autumn night, and the venue was beautifully decorated for Christmas, which was a lovely touch. I'd definitely recommend it for a nice meal or a drink or two.

It's a cute pub and the food was nice. We went for Sunday dinner hoping for the lamb shank, but it had already sold out. I had rump steak, but there was no steak knife, so it was a bit tough to cut.
