The pub was full of lovely local people, and the freshly prepared traditional English breakfast came in generous portions. The service was friendly, and our room was ready even though we arrived earlier than expected. My girlfriend and I had a lovely Valentine's Day stay at The Royal Oak. The room was cozy, clean and full of character, with a warm, welcoming feel. We'd happily stay again and recommend it.

We had a relaxed stay, thanks. It's a nice little pub with a small car park, and it seemed popular the weekend we were there at the end of September. Our bijou ensuite double room above the pub had its own separate entrance. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed a nice cooked breakfast on Sunday morning. Crabble Mill is a five-minute walk away.

All eight of us left completely satisfied after our family lunch. The desserts were delicious too, and the meal itself was cooked perfectly by Heidi. Dee looked after us with prompt, attentive service. Nothing needed improving, and I’d happily recommend it.

A great stop before catching the ferry. The little room was tidy and clean, with what we needed, including tea and coffee, USB charging sockets and big, fluffy towels. Breakfast was a full English, and we’ll definitely come back.

We booked ahead in case, though it was quiet when we went on Friday. Lunch was lovely, the menu had good options at very reasonable prices, and service was good. The venue’s attractive, dogs are welcome, and there’s parking.
