The caravan was clean and had everything we needed, and the site had plenty for children as well as places to visit nearby. We spent a week here in early October in a quiet part of the park and enjoyed it enough to buy a new caravan. We asked to put it on the same pitch and that was fine. Staff across the site were friendly, and Mike the salesman was helpful and relaxed, with no pressure to buy. I liked having a sports bar with lots of screens for football and a pint. My only gripe was the phone signal inside the caravan, though it may just have been my network.

We had a lovely sea view from the van, and it was good value. We’d upgraded, and the caravan was spotless, warm from the central heating and had comfortable mattresses. There’s a nice choice of drinks at the bar, a small shop and some entertainment. All the staff were polite and good fun.

There was plenty to do onsite even off peak, and the pool was great. The beach situation was disappointing: the park is advertised as 400m from the beach, but there’s no way to access it, which felt misleading. Our caravan was basic but fine. We’d booked with an infant and a travel cot, but none of the rooms had enough space for it, a serious safety concern with a small baby. Luckily, the team removed a bed so we could fit the cot.

I’m probably biased since I bought a caravan here this year to be nearer my granddaughter, but I love being here and relax as soon as I arrive. I have a pass, and the prices for food and drinks seem fine. I enjoyed the entertainment, especially the kids’ parts. My family had a caravan here decades ago, before the big companies took over, and I like that the place isn’t huge. I’ve had family, friends and strangers stay, and they’ve all enjoyed it without problems. Skipsea village has a lovely pub serving meals, and Skipsea beachcomber is next door. I did read on the FB page that for a few days kids were driving cars fast around the sight with no security stepping in. They need to address that, and they don’t treat owners right.

Amber, one of the entertainers we saw around the site during the day, was so friendly, chatty and lovely. We had a midweek break at skipsea, where the park was very clean and well cared for. Our caravan was bright and clean, though it would have been handy to have even a dustpan and brush. The onsite shop(NISA) had a good range and was mostly reasonably priced. I wouldn’t recommend The Boathouse, the only restaurant. I ordered Roast Chicken dinner: the chicken was lovely, but the sides were disgusting and should have been binned at least two days earlier. If you’re cooking in the caravan, bring a decent sharp knife.
