We all enjoyed the fish and chips, even though I’m not usually much of a fan. They were cooked really well and came with tartare sauce and mush peas. My wife had the salmon, perfectly cooked with excellent veg. I also really liked St Quintin’s own lager. We called yesterday for a family meal and had plenty of menu choices and drinks to pick from. The staff were attentive, friendly and looked after us the whole time. Definitely would dine here again.

Our room was a good size and comfortable, with an en-suite and lovely open countryside views. We stayed one night with bed and breakfast, and got a warm welcome. They were flexible about when we had dinner. The mixed grill and pork chops were excellent and generous portions. For breakfast we both chose the full English, with juice, tea and coffee, and there was a good choice.

The owners are warm, friendly and chatty, and made the whole meal feel lovely. The food was delicious, freshly cooked by a trained chef with local ingredients, and there were some tasty vegetarian options too. They even serve homemade ice cream made from the dairy cows opposite. It’s worth the drive to this country pub/restaurant. We’ll be back.

A lovely family-run place to spend Christmas, with clean, comfortable rooms and great home-cooked food. Book directly instead of using a third-party site. I’d recommend staying here without hesitation.

The owners made us feel welcome, and the room was lovely. We spent two days in this charming old pub, well placed for exploring the area. The food was cooked to order and great. Would recommend.
