Dogs are welcome in the front bar, and there's also a dining room, with three different rooms in total. The Star Inn is a cosy, traditional country pub with a good range of beers, lager, and cider, including three hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales. The cask ale was in excellent condition when I visited. I haven't eaten there, but the menu looked very inviting. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

We stayed overnight with friends for a wedding in Driffield. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with walk-in showers, and the staff made us feel warmly welcome. Service was excellent. The village is lovely, right by a delightful duck pond, and there's good parking. We skipped dinner, though the menu and food offering looked really good. Breakfast was cooked to order and very good too. A most pleasant stay, thank you.

The food was impeccable, with lots of colour and flavour, and the Yorkshire puddings were the best I've tasted in years. For dessert I had the homemade cinnamon swirl cheesecake, with its yummy biscuit base and rich yet light cinnamon filling. We booked Christmas Day for me and my friends after a spectacular Sunday lunch before Christmas. Rachael, a lovely blonde girl I think was called, was amazingly accommodating and served us with a smile. Manager Claire was hands-on helping the floor staff, and was friendly and lovely to talk to. Definitely coming back next year.

A warm welcome from both the staff and locals. The service was great, there were plenty of treats for our dogs, and the pub has open fires to keep you warm. My partner enjoyed the locally brewed Cask Ales, while I liked the wide, varied no/lo alcohol selection. There's a good menu if you want to eat. The pub sits by a duck pond, and you can buy food at the bar to feed the local wildlife. We also saw the staff handle a medical crisis nearby. They were impeccable, keeping customers away and giving the people affected privacy while they dealt with the situation. We'll definitely visit again if we're in the area.

The steak and stilton pie was great, but we were disappointed not to get our first choices. We arrived for Sunday lunch at 2pm, by which point the beef had run out. Sadly, the roast pork had no crackling either.
