Parsons Street

I’m writing this at 12:40am because I can’t sleep. We booked two nights, but I can’t stay here for another one. Getting in was a struggle: nobody answered when we called, and even after we eventually managed to check in, the place looked dirty. There were stains on the floor and bedsheets. It’s horrible, and I wouldn’t advise anyone to book.

Room 4 was spacious, and the location was handy, right in the heart of Dudley with places to eat just a two-minute walk away. The locks and room security felt solid, so I was comfortable leaving my belongings there. The room was cosy too, and we made do with what was there to make our stay comfortable. There were quite a few shortcomings, though. The mattresses felt like they had no foam, with the springs digging into me. The kitchenette had no microwave or other way to heat food, and the bulbs were too dim for such a large room. The bathroom felt cramped, with barely enough space to sit on the toilet and a very small shower. The whole place could do with a proper facelift to make it more appealing.

I booked for 19 Aug-21 Aug, but left after the first 10 minutes. There was blood on the mirror and floor, and a woman tried to grab my phone so she could see the room access code. It was really scary. They didn’t refund me anything. At first they replied, but now they just ignore me. The most terrible place.

Room 5 was awful: the carpet and linen were dirty, the bed wobbled, the heating was poor, and it was noisy. The location is okay and the online service was good. I can put up with the other problems, but please replace the bed and carpet. Also, refund the £100 damage deposit promptly without making me follow up.
