Southpark House

Ewan made sure we were happy throughout and was so friendly. We were visiting an old Aunt in a nursing home, and now we know where we'll stay on future visits. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, with a comfortable bed, a great shower, good toiletries and a well-stocked tea tray. Breakfast was tasty and generous, with a good continental selection and plenty of fresh fruit. Thank you, Ewan!

On a quiet road just outside Dumfries, this is a great place to stay. We got a warm, friendly welcome and helpful suggestions for dinner. Breakfasts were hearty and kept us going all day. There were plenty of drinks in the room, and more were available from the kitchen on the floor.

I've been staying here for nearly two years, and the standard has stayed high. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, with quality amenities, comfortable beds and good soundproofing. Breakfast is superb and so filling I reckon I've gained half a stone from it. There's ample off-road parking on site, and the breakfast conservatory has lovely views. The B&B is at the end of Locharbriggs, looking toward the mountains behind Dumfries; on a clear day you can see the mountains in Cumbria too.

Ewan was a friendly, helpful host, and the area was quiet with little traffic outside, so we slept very well in the comfortable bed. Our room was spacious, clean and well equipped. There was also a guest lounge and kitchen, and the facilities were excellent. Breakfast had a good range to choose from. Great value, and we'd definitely stay again if we're nearby.
