I just needed a dog-friendly place to rest, and this one came up. Parking was on site, dogs were welcome, and the price was fair. It was easy to reach and well placed for continuing our journey. We got a warm welcome, including from the beautiful, curious resident dogs. One even came along on our short walks with our dog. The staff were lovely. The venue could use some care, but the bedroom was warm, comfy, and a good size. There’s a nice little bar, and breakfast had plenty of choice. Definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The buffet breakfast was superb, with lots to choose from and particularly good quality sausages in the full English. The staff and the friendly hotel dogs gave us a very warm welcome. Our room and bed were comfortable, with tea, coffee, and everything else well provided. Heating worked well, the whole place was scrupulously clean, parking was plentiful, and it was quiet at night. Happy to recommend a stay.

We booked because of the location and price, and ended up adding another night after the staff welcomed us so warmly. It’s in a lovely spot. Before we’d even checked out, we’d booked a longer return stay. This is our new regular place when we come down to visit family and friends. Five out of five all round 👍👍

The location is good and the staff are friendly, but the hotel needs to fix its broken things and give everything a deep clean, including the duvets and pillows. A room had noisy pipes, which the owner already knew about, and I don’t understand why it was still being used. I had to change rooms at midnight. They should stick to the good rooms until the broken ones are fixed.

The room was OK, but we were disappointed when there was no hot water at the end of the day. For dinner, the restaurant could only offer pizza or a toastie. The bedside light was just wires coming out of the wall, with the ends taped up. Breakfast was good, though, but we probably won’t stay again.
