Dumfries is beautiful, especially the river and the photos and videos of it. 🧡🙏💙 The place made for an easy, pleasant night's sleep, with a handy shower and a small TV. There's a supermarket right across the road for anything you need, which seems especially useful for longer stays. The bus stop is there too, with buses to the Carlisle area and back. Peter, you're a gentleman, thank you.

There’s plenty of parking, and the location is great. I stayed in the cabin-style accommodation beside the hotel rather than in the main building. It was simple, but clean and practical, with what I needed for one night. There’s a good fridge-freezer, plus a kettle and microwave. With an Aldi right across the road, food was easy to sort out.

This was my second stay, and I’ll be back. The rooms are clean and tidy, with a nice shower and a comfortable bed. It’s affordable too, and worked perfectly for me and my two kids.

Our room suite was huge, clean and really comfortable, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. Breakfast was reasonably priced too. The outside looks a little old, but it was lovely inside. The only thing to watch is the raised lip by the kitchen and en-suite area. Three of us stubbed our toes on it, so it needs hazard tape or some kind of warning.

The owners were very nice and helped us whenever we needed them. Our suite was clean and tidy, and even though it’s beside a main road, there was very little traffic noise. They’re doing a major refurbishment after taking over, but it didn’t affect our stay.
