I loved the building and my room. Torbay Lodge Guest House dates from the 1860s and sits in Dumfries town centre’s quiet conservation area, a two-minute walk from the train station. The room was spotless, with decent WiFi and amenities. The decor was simple and uncluttered, and he was able to store my bicycle safely. Mine wasn’t en-suite, but the nearby shower and toilet were no problem. It’s handy for the station and the amazing local cycle paths. Breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. I’d happily stay again.
