Woodburn Lodge

My mum, my little boy and I have just got back from the lodge, and we had the most amazing time. Everything was thought through, which made the trip easy, and we had some of the best sleeps I’ve ever had. It felt like a home from home, with comfortable beds, a walk-in shower, WiFi, cosy seating, a dining table and lots of little decorative touches. The lodge was spotlessly clean and finished to a very high standard. There were all the cooking facilities a family needs, in a peaceful setting with plenty to do nearby. Thank you to the owner Nigel and his wife for a wonderful experience. Your hard work and commitment to keeping the lodges at such a high standard really shows. Can’t wait to come back in September. Top class.

We had a fantastic, relaxing break at Woodburn lodge. It was super clean with plenty of storage, and the kitchen was lovely to cook in. The shower felt luxurious and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was a beast, the biggest and best we’ve ever been in, and we used it in all kinds of weather. One night an owl even came to visit while we were in it. My husband made the most of being able to ride his bike straight into Mabie forest from the lodge. This is definitely going to be our regular getaway. Nigel was so accommodating with our plans, and we’re looking to book again in November.

The views and private setting were gorgeous, with nicely secluded spots around the plot. The lodge itself is stunning and has everything you need, plus more. Photos really don't do it justice. There’s plenty to do nearby and a great choice of things. Nigel was absolutely amazing. We’ll definitely recommend it and book again. Thanks, Nigel.

The beds are the comfiest I’ve ever slept in, and the lodges are beautiful and clean. My children loved the hot tub, while I enjoyed relaxing under the stars at night. Nigel and Heather are amazing hosts and go above and beyond to make sure everything’s right, and the prices are brilliant. This was our second stay at Woodburn lodges. We fell in love with it on our first visit, stayed seven days and didn’t want to leave. This time we’re here for 14 nights, and before the holiday’s even over, we’ve booked another 14 nights for next year. I never want to go home.
