Three bridges Bed Breakfast

The rooms were clean and nice, though a little small, and the bathroom was cramped to move around in. Breakfast was very nice. But our holiday got off to a very bad start because of the check-in. I’d put a 10-11pm arrival request on booking.com, and the reply said it would be fine if I contacted the property so someone could let us in. I would have cancelled otherwise. When our flight was delayed by about two hours, I contacted Andy at the airport. He told me to call when we arrived, and didn’t say they might not be available then. We picked up the rental car at about 10:45pm instead of 8:30pm. I called to say we’d arrive in 25 minutes, and Andy said that was totally fine. Five minutes later, we were told no one could let us in until 00:10. I understand emergencies can happen, but the situation changed within five minutes and Andy couldn’t explain why. He kept saying we should have checked in by 9pm and that they’d been waiting, which didn’t match the message I’d sent at 5pm saying we wouldn’t arrive before 11 and asking if that was okay. If late arrival was a problem, they should have told me then, and I could have booked somewhere else. I was apologetic throughout, and the communication was clearly poor. Making us wait an hour without a clear reason beyond “things just happen” wasn’t acceptable. We felt it was because we were late and they had to wait for us. This may have been a one-off, and it likely wouldn’t be an issue for someone arriving before the 9pm limit. Still, if your flight lands one or two hours before check-in, delays could mean you’re left waiting.

Andy and his partner made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. I stayed in the double room with an en suite, which was nicely furnished and decorated. Breakfast in the morning was superb value. The location is ideal if you’re working down at the docks.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed breakfast and chatting with Andrew and Sheila.

The room was spotless, and breakfast was delicious. Andy & Sheila were so attentive throughout our stay. I couldn't have asked for more from the moment we arrived until we left. A real pleasure, and I'll be back. 5star
