The views were brilliant, with the mountain behind us and the river and valley in front, and there were plenty of hiking trails to choose from. Gemma was generous with advice about the local area. We spent a week in an apartment David and Gemma converted from the old ‘duck shed’, combining working away with a holiday, so reliable internet was welcome. The apartment was warm, cosy and well equipped, and the bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely gesture. The site is just a 10 minute drive from Dunkeld, making it easy to pop in for groceries or a meal. Highly recommended.

We all had a great stay, and the kids and our dog enjoyed the place too. The pods are spaced well apart, so it felt quiet and private. Check-in was quick, and the owners were friendly and gave us a short introduction to the property when we arrived. The setting is strikingly beautiful, hard to capture even in photos.

We only stayed a short while, but would definitely love to return. The welcome was friendly, and the location is beautiful. The nearby town is very pretty, with lots of interesting places to discover and some nice fish and chips.

Gemma was a great host and really helpful with my questions about the area. There’s a lovely walk from Kennacoil to the hermitage along the river, well worth doing if you have time. We stayed in the farm cottage, which was comfortable and had everything we needed, with thoughtful touches like milk in the fridge and fresh flowers. The garden is fenced, which is perfect for a dog. We enjoyed an evening outdoors by the large wooden table and benches, fire pit and barbecue, until the not-so-lovely weather forced us inside. The views across the rolling countryside are beautiful.
