Church Hall Farm

We were there briefly to collect someone at the airport in the early hours, and it was very convenient, just 3 mile from Stansted. The accommodation was comfortable, and the hosts were super friendly. They left us a lovely continental breakfast we could eat at 3 am, with a toaster in the room for hot toast. They also managed our last-minute gluten-free request, even though we hadn’t warned them. I’d definitely stay again.

The room was clean and cosy, and the whole place has a modern rustic feel. Tony and Jan were a lovely couple and gave us a warm welcome. It’s ideally placed for Stansted Airport, and most guests seem to be passing through on their way to or from the airport.

Our holiday got off to a really nice start here, close to Stanstead airport. The hosts were welcoming and accommodating, and the rooms were comfortable with pleasant decor. There are pubs nearby for food, and breakfast in the picturesque kitchen was a very nice continental spread. Transfers were prompt. They even weighed our luggage on a very accurate antique weighing thing. I decided not to stand on it myself! Thanks to them.

It felt so homey, almost like staying with family, and the welcome was warmer than I’d expect at a five star hotel. The place has an authentic atmosphere, like stepping into the 30's. My double bed was super comfy, the room was clean and tastefully decorated, and tea and coffee were readily available. Wi-Fi worked well, and the price was reasonable. The proprietor also drove me to Stanstead before my flight. A great couple.
