The place has a lot more character than a hotel, and there was room for everyone. It’s a little out of the way, but that was fine with us. The owners were easy to reach and sorted out a small issue with the kitchen sink quickly. I’d happily recommend staying here.

We keep coming back to Old Kilmun House for our yoga retreats. Guests have been comfortable in the bedrooms, and there’s plenty to enjoy outside too, from the hot tub and sauna to the local walks and nature. The house itself is beautiful, thoughtfully furnished, with lovely little touches. The yurt has all the props we need and fits 13 people comfortably. Even in January, the wood burner and small heaters kept us cosy. Our chef was also very happy with the spacious, well-equipped kitchen. Thanks, Katy and Ross, for having us back time and again. We’re already looking forward to returning in 2027.

Everyone had a ball at this lovely venue for a 70th birthday, from the five-month-old to the 70-year-old. There are things to do for all ages in the house and gardens, which are beautiful. It was a perfect setting for a family game of traitors! x

The house has stunning views, and it’s a great place to head out for walks to Pucks Glen, which is magical. We had an amazing week at Old Kilmun House. The hot tub was lovely for relaxing, and the TV room kept the kids happy with a movie. Ross was great at keeping in touch before we arrived.

I’m so grateful for Old Kilmun House, the land, the yurt, and all the awe-inspiring nature around it. I love bringing the people I love here, and watching the seasons change never gets old. It feels like coming home every time. Katy and Ross have made it such a gorgeous place, and it’s one of my absolute favorite places in the world. I return several times a year and can’t imagine getting tired of it.
