Hotel Bannatyne Durham

The cafe was lovely and fairly priced for what you get, and I enjoyed the massage and facilities. I just wish the pool had a deep end. Apart from that, it was great.

Mandy and Craig are always cheerful and make the place feel welcoming. The other staff are great too, and the people who come here are lovely. The gym equipment is due for an update this month, which it could use. The pool could do with refurbishment and more loungers, and the outdoor space feels wasted as it is. Still, it’s a great gym.

The cafe has a varied menu, the food’s delicious, and the staff there are so professional and happy to help. I joined a few months back and only wish I’d signed up sooner. There are plenty of classes, a well-equipped gym, and the rest of the facilities are great. The staff are friendly and helpful too. I’d recommend it to anyone, definitely worth a visit.

The relaxation room was brilliant, with heated curved tiled seats and mood lighting, and the pool and hot tub were a good size. I also had a back massage, foot massage and Swedish head massage, all really relaxing, luxurious and professionally done. Staff were polite, helpful and informative. The food had lots of choice and was very nice, and the changing rooms and showers were fine. It was our first visit, and we were really impressed. We’d recommend it and will be back.
