We regularly stay in the area and will definitely come here again, maybe before we head home. It's a lovely pub with lovely food, good value, and not expensive. There's a good choice of lagers on draught, too. We turned up on a quiet night without booking, fully expecting to head to the chippy if there wasn't room, since we'd been unprepared sods. No problem eating in without a reservation. We had a beef burger and a chicken burger, both tasty, well seasoned, and very generous. Each came with onion rings, which have spoiled every other onion ring for me. I'm not sure what they're seasoned with, but I'm pretty sure it must be illegal. I could happily have eaten a plate of those alone. The pub is dog friendly, which was a bonus. Service was polite and attentive, just enough for me. I'm not keen on staff hovering over you or checking every five minutes while you're eating, and that's not what happened here. The staff were thoughtful as well. A gentleman was working on a gallery wall with a hammer when we arrived, and quickly stopped. I'm sure some people would appreciate that, though I wouldn't have minded if he carried on. We're from the rough end of the potteries, where people ride motorbikes through pubs and it's a quiet night if only one person starts a fight. Besides, the dog had something to watch.

We stopped by for a drink, though we'd booked food elsewhere earlier that day and didn't eat here. The staff were very friendly, and there was a great choice of drinks. It's a warm, welcoming place and dog friendly. We would definitely have stayed for food otherwise, and we'll call again.

The hotel was lovely and warm, and it's conveniently just off the A55 near Penmaenmawr. We popped in for a quick lunch and would certainly stop again if we're in the area. The homemade soup and my partner's chicken goujons were both tasty, served with bread and butter. I had a glass of cask ale, and my partner had a lager.

We had a beautiful sea view from our clean, comfortable room. The host was extremely hospitable and particularly helpful with directions when the tunnel on the A55 closed in both directions. Everyone on staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and our Sunday lunch were both lovely. The food always arrived piping hot, and it was served promptly after we ordered. The location is perfect, and we'd definitely recommend staying here. We'll certainly be back.

I recently held a get-together for a 60th birthday, and they made the evening so enjoyable despite also having two other functions to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble, and there was so much food. I can't thank Gavin enough for the amazing service and all the effort. So much praise is deserved. Thank you!
