The location was ideal, right by the seafront and an easy walk to the pier, and the price was very affordable for an overnight stay. We visited Eastbourne on 19th February 2026 to see a family friend, me, my mum, my six-year-old and my 21-month-old. Citrus Hotel worked out really well for us. Our room was huge, with two single beds, bunk beds and a courtesy cot. It was warm and comfortable, with a side view of the seafront. The hotel is fairly basic, but had what we needed for a short stay. The gentleman who welcomed us when we arrived was friendly and extremely helpful. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name. He checked us in and was especially kind to the children, and knew a lot about the area and Eastbourne’s events throughout the year. We also spent the evening in the bar and games room, which was a nice way for the kids to burn off some energy before bed. We’ll definitely come back, and hope to book during the Bandstand fireworks season.

The continental breakfast was great, though the coffee machine is very slow and could be a problem if the restaurant gets busy. It’s a good value hotel in an old fashioned Victorian style. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfy. It was well worn, but everything worked.

The building is old, so if you want a luxury hotel with everything new, this isn't the place. It does have a cozy feel, though, and the rooms have nice views. The beds are comfortable, and the staff are doing their best. Simple, but very nice. We hope to come back.

That view was absolutely stunning, and our room was beautiful and incredibly spacious. We had an amazing three-night stay. When we return, this will definitely be our first choice. Can't wait to come back!

The location was great, and the room was a good size. Staff were pleasant. The room did feel tired and needs decorating and some repairs. We struggled with the sliding door, as it ran straight onto the carpet with no runner. Breakfast is limited to continental options.
