The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the place was quiet. It’s a good walking distance from both the town centre and seafront, and the price wasn’t too bad. The bed was comfortable, with a clean, spacious bathroom and useful cooking and washing facilities. I found the washer dryer especially handy. Getting around inside was difficult despite the lift. I had a toddler with me and struggled with the buggy. The floors weren’t exactly clean, and I missed having a rug when I got out of bed. Still, I’d recommend it.

There’s plenty of space, and I liked the modernisation, especially the second bedroom for the children with its own TV. The reception staff were friendly enough, and it was great that I could borrow a hairdryer. But the apartment didn’t feel clean when we arrived, so I was glad I’d brought antibacterial wipes. The drain smell in the bathroom was horrible. It would have been perfect apart from the cleanliness and lack of disinfection.

Check-in went smoothly, and the bed and facilities were okay. I paid the extra £5 for an upgraded room, but there was broken glass scattered around, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived. The replacement room didn’t have the same “perks” as the upgraded one, and the windows wouldn’t open. It was extremely hot.

The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the building looks stunning from outside with its original sash windows. The whole place had been renovated to a high standard. Those marble tiled floors made it feel like we were in a different country. We came to Eastbourne for a hen do without knowing what to expect, but the friendly staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Sarah was especially lovely and helpful. I couldn’t recommend it enough. We’re already planning to come back in July!
