The Burlington Hotel

The location was the highlight, opposite the pier, a few minutes from bus stops and about a 10-minute walk to the town centre. We stayed four days and were quite impressed. The rooms were generous in size, the bed was comfortable, and tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. We had the buffet breakfast, which had a very good choice. The one thing that let it down for me was the outside woodwork and paint, visible when looking out from inside. We’ll definitely be back, thank you.

The sea view was decent and the whole place was clean. Staff were polite and nice to me throughout. There was some sound from adjoining rooms, but it never got too loud or excessive. It’s in an amazing spot, not far from the pier, and I’d consider booking again.

The Burlington Hotel is right on the seafront, just steps from the beach, with lovely coastal and pier views. Shops, cafes and theatres are a short stroll away, and it’s a handy base for Eastbourne, Beachy Head and the South Downs. Our stay was delightful. The hotel has elegant Victorian architecture and a calm, relaxed feel that suited a break by the sea. Staff were welcoming and helpful, always friendly without being intrusive. Our room was clean, comfortable and well kept, with complimentary tea and coffee and large windows bringing in lots of natural light. Breakfast each morning was lovely, with plenty of choice and generous portions in a bright, spacious dining room. I’d recommend The Burlington Hotel for its charm and location on the East Sussex coast, and I’m looking forward to visiting again. ✨

The building’s exterior might put you off at first, but the reception staff were really welcoming. Our spacious, clean room was on the third floor and had a beautiful view of the water and jetty. The bathroom was spotless, with hot water and good pressure. Bar staff were friendly too, and the food we ordered was good. Would definitely stay again.
