Joanne was a superstar, welcoming, knowledgeable, efficient, and so kind. She went out of her way to help us, and the other staff were especially friendly and helpful too. My husband and I were really pleased with the Holiday Inn Southampton-Eastleigh. It was well maintained and conveniently located, with very good food and drinks. There were handy options like breakfast in the room, and the hotel felt much more family friendly and nicer than a typical airport hotel.

My children were in the shower when the power went out and the lights switched off. We had to wait for a technician to restore them. Check-in took ages, with just one person handling everyone. The service was the coldest I’ve had at any Holiday Inn. He read from a check-in script in a completely flat voice. I’d paid for parking during check-in, but a few days later I got a parking fine for the time I was staying. They took my money but hadn’t recorded my car number. Ridiculous. This is probably the worst Holiday Inn I’ve stayed at.

We came for breakfast with the family and the service was amazing. Emma greeted us at reception, was so polite, and showed us to the restaurant. Dominic welcomed us there and was really happy and friendly. Everyone we met was just as nice. I think Dani, Matt, and Syed were working that day too. A shout-out to the whole team, we’ll definitely be back!

The staff were the best part, especially at breakfast. They were attentive and friendly, and could cater for people intolerant to dairy and eggs. The pool was a nice extra, though it’s best to book a slot before arriving. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at the holiday inn, booked as a deal with access to Paultons park. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet. Great stuff, recommended!

The hotel felt clean and modern throughout, especially the room. I stay in IHG hotels for work and some can feel a bit average or run down, but this one definitely didn’t. I arrived a little before check-in, and Mikalya at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. She chatted with me and made me feel welcome after travelling. Ruby C served me at dinner and was polite, friendly, and helpful all the way through. With the quality of the menu and food, she made it a genuinely pleasant meal. Thanks to Mikayla, Ruby, and the rest of the team. I won’t hesitate to stay here again.
