The cottages are clean and comfortable, in a beautiful spot just up the road from the little town of Peebles. They're handy for biking at Glentress forest, and the friendly hosts always give us a warm welcome. We've returned to Winkston Holiday Cottages nearly every year, sometimes more than once, because it's such a lovely place to stay.

The farmhouse cottage had everything we needed, including a microwave and washing machine, and there was a nice outdoor area as well. It was a lovely couple of nights in this cute place, with two single beds on the ground floor and a secure bike shed. Peebles main street is 1.2 miles away. There are lots of nice cycle paths, with more being built.

Our room was spacious and very clean, with a nice shower and lovely hill views. Breakfast was very good too. We had a relaxed stay at this B&B with a very warm and lovely host. It's close to Peebles, where you can go for nice walks, or head to Edinburgh. Thanks for having us, a Dutch couple with a six-month-old baby girl.

The cottages are beautiful and very peaceful, while still close enough to local shops, pubs and restaurants. The hosts are welcoming and more than happy to help with anything.

We've stayed here several times over the years as a family and have always had a wonderful welcome. The B&B breakfast is great, and the holiday cottages are cosy and always spotless.
