Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Airport

The breakfast was minimal, but it was an easy way to get a decent feed before a day trip or a flight. We stayed at Holiday Inn just after Christmas and had a good experience. Our room was clean, comfortable, and much bigger than we expected for a budget hotel. Staff in the lobby were lovely, and the shuttle was easy to use. My partner told the driver I'd left my phone by the curb as we got on. Even though he was the only bus on that loop, he turned back within minutes. We got the phone back, and it made the trip so much easier. We're still very grateful to him. The helpful attitude from the lobby staff added to the stay, whether you're there for one night or more. Thanks for having us, we loved it.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express three days into a few weeks of travel. The room was exceptionally large, clean, and had a modern, nicely sized shower. Room 100 was a pleasure, and meals at the restaurant were amazing. The restaurant staff were friendly and lovely to talk with. If you're driving, paying for parking at reception is cheaper than using the car park QR code. A couple of things made the stay less pleasant. At check-in, the tall receptionist was rude and impolite. I didn't get her name, but she looked like she may have had cosmetic face surgery. Later, while I was eating, I overheard two staff members loudly discussing private details about another guest's room. It made me uncomfortable, and I found it inappropriate. One was the receptionist who had checked me in. Another staff member told me the other woman was Michelle, a housekeeper. I think staff should be reminded about the privacy policy. My experience was still relatively pleasant, and I'd stay again if staff were trained better on the policies. Sorry this review is late, I've been travelling for the past few weeks.

At £150 a night, I thought the price was a little steep, though the stay was still very agreeable. Otherwise, it's a solid, convenient hotel on the Edinburgh airport grounds. You can walk to the airport or take the regular shuttle for a small fee. The rooms are clean and looked after, breakfast has a decent range and good quality, and I appreciated the complimentary tea, coffee, and milk, even if those are standard.

They made my early check-in work, which was a big help. David at reception was friendly, professional, and especially helpful, making everything feel smooth and easy. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. I had a really pleasant stay, would recommend it, and would gladly return.
