The Milton Bed & Breakfast

We had really lovely, spotless rooms with a homely feel, and the price was very fair. The owner was friendly and answered all our questions before we booked. A late check-in and early check-out were no problem, and since we couldn't make breakfast, we weren't charged for it. Cameron and Wallis

The location worked perfectly for my meeting, and having the local superstore nearby was handy. It seemed a popular place, with all the rooms apparently taken during my stay. The B&B was clean and friendly, with free, secure parking. Bikers should know the driveway is loose stone. Breakfast was simple but very good. I chose the cooked option, which arrived on time, hot and tasty, and there was a good selection of cold continental food too. My only real reservation is personal: I'm not keen on sharing a loo and shower. Both were spotless, and I never had to wait, so it's no criticism of the property. I usually prefer an ensuite, but the next place with one cost twice as much. For somewhere to sleep for the night, I'd probably stay again.

After driving around 500 miles to Elgin for work, I arrived very late, exhausted, and found everything ready exactly as the host had explained on the phone. The room and bathroom were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the host couldn't have been more accommodating. It was just what I needed after such a long journey, and I'd happily stay at The Milton B&B next time I'm in Elgin. I'd called ahead to say I'd be late because I was held up, and that's when we discovered I'd booked the wrong date online. The host said not to worry because there was still a vacancy. The late arrival wasn't a problem at all. 5*. Thank you.

We stayed eight nights in this cosy little hotel and found the room and washroom facilities clean and tidy throughout. The dining room was spotless as well. Each day we chose a breakfast time, and it was beautifully cooked and served then. The owner did her best to keep us comfortable. I highly recommend the hotel.
