Premier Inn Wirral - Childer Thornton

The quiet grounds beside a garden centre made this a handy base for exploring Cheshire, the Wirral, North Wales and the north west. What really stood out, though, was how kind everyone was. When my blood sugar dropped, they were attentive, and while I was feeling unwell from chemo, they went out of their way to bring me a fan. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and the whole team gave us five-star service. Thank you all for the care and hard work that made our stay special. Xxx

The pub food was a real surprise, fresh and really good, and the staff there were lovely too. We had an easy check-in, plenty of parking and a clean, comfortable room. It was a perfect spot for us. The staff were lovely throughout, and the stay went beyond what we expected.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and doing their best. Still, the place feels old and overdue for investment. In our ground-floor room, paint was peeling from the walls and ceiling, the keys weren't working properly, and outside it sounded as if the gutters were overflowing. We stayed at a Travelodge at Cheshire Oaks the day before, and we'd choose that one next time we're in the area.

We booked a family room for two nights, and it worked perfectly for all four of us. Everyone we dealt with was so polite and helpful: the two receptionists, the lovely man at breakfast and the young woman behind the bar. We had a really pleasant stay and couldn't praise the staff enough. We'll be back.
